The trail should be readable without following the reader around the web.

Effective 7 November 2026. Cookies are small browser records returned to a site on later requests. Similar local storage can serve related purposes; neither should be confused with the ordinary logs created when a server delivers a page.

The public pages

The journal theme does not set advertising, behavioural analytics or personalisation cookies. Its mobile menu and scroll effects work in the current page without a saved visitor profile. Local images do not require a third-party image service.

The contact check uses temporary server-side records and hidden form values rather than a theme-created visitor cookie. A code expires after twenty minutes and is consumed when a submission is checked. A brief hashed-address record limits repeated sending.

WordPress and site services

WordPress may use login, session and preference cookies when someone signs in or uses administrative features. Reading public pages does not require such an account. Hosting, security and caching services can also use technical cookies when necessary for their functions; their presence depends on the site’s active configuration.

The theme does not load a video player or social sharing widget. If a separately maintained article contains an external embed, that provider may receive information or set cookies when its material loads. Review that provider’s controls before interacting.

Locally served type

Fraunces and Karla font files are served by this site rather than fetched from an outside font service on each visit. The theme’s images are local as well. These files do not add a third-party tracking request.

Your browser, your choice

You can inspect, block or remove cookies and site storage through your browser’s privacy settings. Blocking all cookies may affect sign-in and some security functions. If your browser blocks scripts, you can still read the journal, but the contact form cannot load its verification code.

If optional cookie-based tools are introduced later, their purposes and any required consent controls should be described before they are activated. This policy does not imply consent to tools that are not in use.
